Akiho is a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus in Biomaterials. She is interested in STEM cell and tissue recovery as her field of research.
Oyun-Erdene, a.k.a Oku, is junior majoring in Energy Engineering with Energy Business and Finance minor. She is interested in renewable energy production, power distribution, air pollution and sustainable city development.
Khushboo is a senior in Aerospace Engineering with focus in Space Systems Engineering . She is really interested in Space Research involving propulsion and life in the outer universe. She plans to get a Doctoral Degree in Space Systems and Life support after graduation in Dec 2016.
María Alicia Mieses
María is a freshman intending to major in Biomedical Engineering and obtain a minor in Biology. She is interested in research related to oncology, genetics, nanotechnology and medical imaging, and plans to go to medical school.
Aasma is a freshman majoring in Biology with a Neuroscience focus and a minor in Math. She is interested in research related to neurodegenerative diseases and plans to go to medical school. She will be starting in Dr. Gong Chen's neuroscience lab this semester.
Emilio Ramos Monzalvo
Emilio Ramos Monzalvo is a freshman in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. He is interested on epidemiology and plans on going to graduate school to keep exploring his passion for mathematical modeling.
Mangyin (Matt) is a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Engineering with biochemistry focus. He is interested in genetical engineering and is ready to devote to his career in research and development of biotechnology.
Brian is a Junior Molecular biology and Biochemistry student with a concentration in microbiology. He is pursuing a medical school degree after college and is Involved in Pre-medical society, Ohana THON organization as well as undergraduate research society. He is eager to join laboratory work and looks forward to learning new activities and knowledge
Melissa is a sophomore majoring in Biology with a Botany option and a minor in Plant Pathology. She is interested in botanical research and is currently treasurer of Blooms and Shrooms for Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology.
Vincent is a first semester Junior transfer from Johns Hopkins University, majoring in General Biology through the Eberly College of Science. Having conducted previous research in the retroviral field under Dr. Lucio Gama at Johns Hopkins' medical campus, he hopes to continue conducting studies in counteracting viral, bacterial, and immunological diseases.
Manoelle Da Silva
Manoelle Da Silva is a sophomore majoring in Toxicology and in the process of obtaining a minor in global health. She plans to go to pharmacy school after graduating and is interested in research related to pharmacology, epidemiology, and molecular toxicology.
Rachna is a sophmore majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Biomedical Engineering.She is interested in nanotechnology,spread of tumor and cancer cells,gene expression, and DNA sequencing. She intends to go to law school to become a patent lawyer.
